Places to go in Gyeongju, South Korea : Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond (경주 가볼만한 곳 : 안압지)



Hi, guys! Today, I'm going to show you guys one of the beautiful place in South Korea.
This place is famous at night time and it's really cool place!


안녕하세요 여러분!! 오늘은 야경으로 정말 멋진 곳중에 한곳인 경주의 한 관광지를 소개해드리려고 해요!

















Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond were the secondary palace site which was used for the palace of the Crown Prince along with other subsidiary buildings and it also was the banquet room for important national event and important visitors. After the fall of Silla, followed by Goryeo and Joseon, the site was named ‘Anapji’ instead. Later, a fragment from a pottery which the carved letter “Wolji” was found in 1980s and it revealed that Wolji contained the meaning of the pond reflecting moon. Thus, the name ‘Anapji’ was changed to the current - ‘Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond.’

안압지는 신라시대 때의 연못인데 저녁에 가면 야경이 너무나 아름다운 곳중의 하나에요!

























This place has the beautiful night view and I really liked that place.


저는 경주를 여름에 가는 것을 좋아하는데 뭔가 푸르른 느낌이 들 때가 가장 아름다운 곳인 거 같더라구요!



























And you can also see the lotus flower around there if you go there during the summer season.
I think, Gyeongju is nice place if you go there in Summer! Everything's looks green!


안압지 근처에 연꽃 연못이 있는 곳도 있어서 여름에 가시면 이쁜 연꽃들도 보실 수 있답니다.


























The view... is absolutely beautiful. I feel like time travelling when I was in Gyeongju.


물빛에 비춰진 게 너무 이쁘지 않나요?? 경주에 가면 뭔가 시간여행을 하는 기분이 들어요 과거로!!


























That spot is the most beautiful spot I think.


제가 안압지에서 가장 좋아하는 뷰 중의 하나에요.
뭔가 신이 앉아있어야 할 것만 같은 모습인 것 같아요


























Gyeongju has beautiful places that you can see. It's near busan so if you planning to go to Busan it'd be good to try to go to Gyeongju too. (It's about an hour from Busan by bus)




경주는 관광지들이 떨어져 있어서 관광하기가 조금 힘이들긴 하지만 안압지나 첨성대, 천마총 이런 주요적인 관광지들은 다 가까운 곳에 있기 때문에 걸어서 가도 그렇게 멀지 않고 택시를 타셔도 된답니다!

























The atmosphere in there, so calm and peaceful. So It's nice place to walk around.

Places you should go in Gyeongju, South Korea : Jusangjeolli Cliff of Gangdong Hwaam Maeul Village (경주 가볼만한 곳 : 주상절리)

Jusangjeolli are columnar rock formations with cross sections in hexagonal or triangular shapes. The jusangjeolli at the shore of Hwaam Maeul Village were created by basalt lava that erupted in the Tertiary period of the Cenozoic Era about 20 million years ago. The columnar basalt formations were created as the lava cooled and shrank into cracks. The rocks look like wood stacked horizontally or vertically en masse. The length of the columns average around 20 meters and diagonally are about 50 centimeters at the longest cross-section.
