Things to do in South Koreaㅣ Places you can go with wearing a hanbok in South Korea (한복입고 사진찍기 좋은 곳)

Hi guys!
Today, I'm going to introduce one of my favorite things to do in South Korea.
Hanbok is a traditional clothes in Korea. They were used to wear this in the past.
And nowadays, it's kinda trendy to do wearing the traditional clothes and take pictures with friends!!

Korean people still used to wear a hanbok with the big holidays in Korea. But I think, not many people wear it with Chinese New Year or Thanksgiving day nowadays cause some of people not to meet the whole family members anymore!
But they wear it when the wedding day though.

Anyways, it's so trendy some of the places in South Korea.
So, I'm gonna show you guys where is the place you can find the hanbok rental shop and having an experience wearing a traditional clothes in Korea!

1. Gyeongbok Palace (Gyeongbok gung)

The most popular place is Gyeongbok Palace in Seoul. This place is just famous without hanbok thing but many tourists going there with wearing a hanbok. and the enterance fee is free if you wear a hanbok!

Normally, when you rent a hanbok at the rental shop, they set your hairstyle is more beautiful with many accessories which is really cool. But the basic style is braid hairstyle.

Gyeongbok palace was the main royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeongbokgung served as the home of Kings of the Joseon dynasty, the Kings' households, as well as the government of Joseon.

And this place is really beautiful as well.

I went there with my friends. and one of my friend really wanted to try to wear a hanbok. So we tried it :)
But it's not weird at all if you wear it and walking around that area cause a lot of tourists (I mean foreigners and Korean people.) wearing it. So I feel like I'm back to the past or something like that.

This place is huge place.(Maybe not.) But it deserves to go there and feeling like you are in Joseon Dynasty.

2. Suwon hwaseong portress

Hwaseong Fortress is an impressive structure from the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) and the official fortress of Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. The fortress (constructed from 1794 to 1796) was built as a display of the King’s filial piety towards his father Jangheonseja and to build a new pioneer city with its own economic power.

(From Imagine your Korea)

It was my first time to wear a hanbok with my friend! and actually I couldn't take pictures the inside of the portress cause we were a bit late. So we just went around the portress and taking a lot of pictures together! I think it's really good experience that you wear a hanbok and haveing some good memories with your firends or yourself!

I don't have any pictures of the male hanbok. But there's many kind of styles for male too!

It was a bit weird that we went to the coffee shop with wearing a hanbok haha
Cause the coffee shop looks like so modern and we looked like the ancients. lol

But no one cares even if we are that looks haha

3. Jeonju slow city.

This place is getting so famous in Korea. There's a lot of hanok(which is Korean traditional building.)
and hanbok rental shops. It's about 3 hours from Seoul. (By a bus! But you can also go there by a train too.)

Jeonju city is not really big city to walk around. It's pretty convinience to go to each destinations in there. Buildings looks like old and traditional so it's the best place to wear a hanbok!

Plus, it's way cheaper than Seoul or another place to rent a hanbok in there.
It's normally around (5,000 ~ 30,000 won) to rent it.

There's also a lots of good foods! Like all the restaurants are good places in Hanok village.
So some of people going there for food-trip too.

By the way, that's all of the informations of today's posting!
Probably, there's more places in South Korea but those places are all I went before!

I highly recommend you guys wearing a hanbok in Korea. It would be really nice experience!
